A youth’s teenage years often bring on a period of transition and change: moving into high school; making important decisions about school careers and life direction; making new friends; developing new ways of thinking. This course provides a contemporary “rite of passage” for adolescents from all walks of life, and an opportunity to discover new confidence, self-esteem, and amazing strengths and capabilities. Our highly qualified instructors give participants plenty of individual and group attention; their energy and enthusiasm for the wilderness help make this trip an experience that will last a lifetime. Each trip consists of a few days of adventure activities at our base, and followed by a multi-day expedition.

What Kinds of Trips Are Offered?
• Flat-water canoe trips in Algonquin Park, Temagami, French River or Kilarney
• Whitewater canoe trips on Petawawa River, French River, or Spanish River
• Sea-kayaking expeditions on Georgian Bay
• Hiking trips in Algonquin Park, Almaguin Highlands, or Kilarney
• Multi-day reflective experiences (solo or duet)
• Backcountry cabin/Yurt experiences (wilderness skills, cross country skiing, geo-caching retreat)
• First Nations traditional programming (in partnership with White Buffalo Healing Lodge)
Our Clinical Support Team
Depending on the needs of each group, we can provide not only experienced wilderness guides and emergency support, but also the counseling support of a therapist on each expedition. Our clinical staff practices a unique style of individual and group therapy that serves as a unique opportunity for youth who are in need of counseling and support. We are highly experienced in working with resistant youth and the unique approach we embrace is industry leading in its evidence-based approach.
